Join Escape The Routine and friends as we test out a new session we are thinking of adding to our offerings. This is your time to come and relax. Feel encouraged to invite a friend of yours that loves whiskey.

We'll be reviewing a little history of the spirit, and an overview of the different styles. We'll discuss production methods, recipes, and aging, essentially focusing on the experiential side to understand why different whiskies taste the way they do. With each whiskey we'll discuss how to taste and how to describe the flavors being experienced.

Host / Instructor Bio: Josh Gelfand is a recognized whiskey and spirits educator and mixologist, having spent the last few years as the Whisk(e)y Warden and Spirit Guide at Wingtip, a private social club and renowned whiskey bar in San Francisco. Prior to that he was Master of Scotch for the Pernod Ricard portfolio, educating on brands including The Glenlivet, Aberlour, and Chivas Regal. He has been a judge in numerous bartending, cocktail, and spirits competitions, and has been the Bay Area's go-to MC for bar industry events. He's also an accomplished pianist and has spent much of the COVID lockdown performing weekly live streamed shows.
