In this workshop you'll craft a custom wood cutting board using the art of pyrography-- don’t worry, it’s nothing illegal!

You’ll learn the basic techniques of decorative wood burning, which, although dating back centuries, can be expressed with fun, contemporary designs. Using a pen-like burning tool, you’ll work on small wood pieces to practice the basic technique.

Next you’ll move on to your masterpiece, etching a custom design onto a 13.5”x7.5” premium wood board that you can use for general food chopping or serving.

This slow flow class has an emphasis on reconnecting with our minds, bodies, and souls, and ends with an extended savasana (relaxation and integration after the physical yoga asana movements) that includes energy healing. Close your eyes, surrender to a Live Cello Meditation Concert of deep ambient cello vibrations that will leave you feeling more grounded and calm. We will start with a short guided meditation and then enjoy 4 original cello compositions with different prompts to contemplate on. Each piece combines a low grounding tone and sweeping melodies improvised live with effect pedals and loop machine. This experience is suitable for people with any level of meditation experience. The Wong Janice is a sound meditation guide and cellist based in Amsterdam in The Netherlands helping people around the world feel more centered and calm through virtual cello meditation concerts.

Set the tone for the morning, afternoon or evening with your own custom blend of tea. Join Berkeley-based Herbalist Lauren Jones for an introduction to herbal tea, and guided instruction on how to blend your own herbal teas.

Lauren will cover the principles of herb blending, discuss taste combinations & ratios, review the various medicinal values or teas, and dig into the overall brew method. Lauren is a wellness educator with a Masters in Science of Oriental Medicine, who incorporates herbal teas into her daily life. Your kit will include materials to make two signature blends!

The Amazing Cyberspace Race gives your group an opportunity to explore famous cities & landmarks around the world, using Zoom and the street view feature of Google Maps! Teams will race against one another to solve clues that take you across the globe, and you’ll earn bonus points for answering questions about the sites you visit!
