Virtual Origami Workshop
Feeling crafty? We've got another DIY art project for you.
Take a crash course in the Japanese art of paper-folding!James Peake, a seasoned paper folding expert based in Oberlin, Ohio, will guide you through an instructional Origami class for everyone from the intro crowd to the fellow folding experts out there. He has worked with several hundred students over the past 15 years and owns his own Origami studio.
In the 1-hour session, you will learn an assortment of fun and accessible origami models, guided step by step from start to finish. We will be working through two models, in each the subject will only be revealed in the final step when the origami 'comes to life' (we're folding a sitting fox and a pencil, but don't tell participants!).
Supplies
Each participant should show up to the event with:
- 1 letter-sized sheet of paper (i.e. copy, ledger or notebook paper)
- Any colored drawing utensil (ie. marker, crayon, highlighter, pen)
- A pair of scissors (optional)
