Adopt a Plant Bar
Guests can browse through a selection of house plants to find one that fits their space. Once they select their favorite, they will repot it into a planter to take home.
Our local plant expert will be there to help and answer questions and give tips on all things plant parenting including:
- how to choose plants for your home or office
- give tips on plant maintenance
- creating and using grow lights to increase available light in your planting area
- repotting plants 101
- watering techniques and fertilizer requirements
- pest identification and how to treat
Hot Sauce Workshop
In this class guests will learn the simple steps of homemade hot sauce, from sourcing peppers and ingredients, cooking, and storing your batch. We'll also cover the tools and tricks of preservation and fermentation, such as safety and shelf-life, as well as various methods and canning history. You'll also get a recipe and tips as we make hot sauce together during class using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
Everyone will walk away with the ability to:
* Source and select ingredients
* Cook and preserve hot sauce, while maximizing flavor
* Ferment your own hot sauce at home
* Share your homemade jar of hot sauce with friends!
Skill level: beginner; but those with canning skills are welcome to join and learn some new tricks.
Includes: complimentary bottles of hot sauce for all participants, plus organic tortilla chips to taste it with, chef fee, all cooking supplies + materials, a 60-minute cooking demo along with a super fun hot sauce tasting with an assortment of the coolest brands on display to try. Note: if on-site, your space must have a regular kitchen space (prep table, stove, oven, etc.)
Tea Blending
Create your own custom blend of tea! Our host will give an introduction to herbal tea, and guided instruction on how to blend your own herbal teas. We will cover the principles of herb blending, discuss taste combinations & ratios, review the various medicinal values or teas, and dig into the overall brew method.
Microgarden Workshop
Did you know you can grow delicious, healthy, and gorgeous herbs and veggies on your windowsill? Whether you have a black thumb or lack the space or skills to start a traditional vegetable garden, this class will blow your mind with a simple solution: a microgarden! One of the most empowering and uplifting life skills I’ve learned is to grow my own food. I can’t wait to share the joy of planting and caring for your seeds, and watching them grow into delicious plants with you and your group!

The CEO and founder Laena McCarthy is an avid urban gardener and micro-farmer, and will cover all the techniques necessary to create and maintain your beautiful mini garden, such as plant selection and planting tips; design considerations; watering and fertilizing.
Tie Dye Station
Learn some new tie dye techniques! We provide all the materials, you bring the creativity. Follow allow with our host or experiment with your own style. Want to order some custom swag to tie dye? Choose from our wide selection of white cotton products that can be taken home as-is or tie-dyed.
Live Mural Painting
Our artist will pre-design the mural before the event so that it is prepped and ready to go when we go live! Attendees will be able to watch the mural come to life in real-time. An outlined version of the design can be provided as a print-out for attendees to color in as they watch the muralists.
