Meet your host
KARA JENELLE "KJ" is a professional dancer, choreographer and teaching artist living bicoastal between Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA. She earned her BA in Dance and a Minor in African American Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and she recently received her MFA in Choreographic Inquiry from UCLA. Being a performer and arts educator, KJ found the importance of balancing her artistry in the classroom and in her career.
Working primarily in dance genres connected to the African diaspora such as: West African, Dunham, Step, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Dancehall, Afrobeats and Afro-Caribbean techniques, KJ has curated her movement aesthetic with black dance at its core. Over the past decade she has worked primarily as an educator for studios, non-profits, institutions and residency programs across the nation. Her passion for mentorship and guidance for young artists has been a primary intention throughout her career.
In April 2021, KJ premiered her first dance film, ÌYÁguration which is her inaugural work, celebrating black women.

Cinnamon Roll Baking Workshop
July 20th // 3pm PT
Learn how to create the very best cinnamon rolls from scratch in this cozy workshop. You’ll learn all of the techniques on how to create the perfect dough, the incredibly flavorful filling, and a luxurious cream cheese frosting that’s not only fit for cinnamon rolls, but would also be outstanding on your other sweets as well.
Woodburning Workshop

You’ll learn the basic techniques of decorative wood burning, which, although dating back centuries, can be expressed with fun, contemporary designs. Using a pen-like burning tool, you’ll practice the basic techniques!
Dueling Piano Show
July 28th // 2pm PT
Step virtually into the Big Bang Cleveland Dueling Piano Bar. Join Zach and Nate best friends and human jukeboxes who are ready for your requests. Grab a beverage and sit back and get to know your colleagues through music. This is a 100% request driven show so don’t be shy in the chat and you’ll get a chance to hear your favorite song performed live!
