From endless hiking and biking trails, Costanoa has an adventure for everyone. Beyond physical exploration, they offer educational wildlife programming such as guided bird-watching tours and falconry presentations.
Skyline to Sea Biking
This is a one of a kind opportunity to explore California’s first State Park. Meet your guide at the Waddell Creek trailhead 5 miles south of Costanoa. This is a 12 mile round trip designed for beginning to intermediate riders. Doublewide fire roads meander along Waddell Creek and eventually lead up to the spectacular Berry Creek Falls. Bike transport can also be arranged to maximize trail time.

Ohlone Ridge Interpretive Nature Hike
Resident naturalists will guide your group on an interpretive walk covering topics like plant and animal life, spring wildflowers, coastal ecology, redwood forest ecology, bird life, and human and natural history. This three and a half mile hike through the riparian corridor of Whitehouse Creek and then up through coastal scrub and Douglas Fir eco-systems. The peak of the trail offers sweeping vistas of the reefs and beaches south of Costanoa. This is an excellent option for those who want a little bit more of a workout as well as opportunities to see the local flora and fauna.

Naked Eye Stargazing + Fireside S’mores
Entertain and educate the team! Learn about everything under the stars with NASA Ames Researcher Joe Jordan followed by a campfire and s’mores at the Cascade fire pit.

Falconry Presentation
Meet local falconer and ornithologist for an outdoor presentation of Owl, Falcons, Hawks Harriers and the occasional Kookobura (terrestrial tree kingfishers of the genus Dacelo native to Australia and New Guinea)! Presentation includes the opportunity to see the birds up close and personal as well as observe their flight and predation behaviors.

Guided Sea Kayaking
Explore the marshes and estuaries of the inland Monterey Bay or hit the open ocean with our professional kayak guide. This is a great group experience that also provides you the opportunity to see the incredible diversity of wildlife along the central coast.

Guided Yoga
Get an early start to your day or book a mid-meeting stretching break with our professional yoga facilitators. All classes are designed to the ability level of your group or individual.

Wine and Dye’n Workshop
On-site outdoor private wine tasting while making your own signature Costanoa Tie Dye T-Shirt. Includes all material all you have to do is bring a sense of creativity.

Thursday;
8:00am - Pickup at HQ
9:15am - Welcome! Arrive at Costanoa Lodge/check in
10:00-12pm - ** Full team activity **
12:30-1:30pm - Lunch on-site at Cascade Restaurant + Bar using local, organic, and handcrafted ingredients in its offering of fresh California coastal cuisine.
Choose from dishes like; Salmon Tartar, Local Artichoke, Cheese Boards, Soups + Salads, Burgers/Sandwiches and other lunch specialties.
1:30-5pm - ** Choose your own adventure **
5-6:30pm - San Mateo Country Buffet in the Pine Tent + cocktails/mock-tails while watching a slideshow of the days activities.
7-8:30pm - Meet on-site for guided Stargazing followed by a campfire and s’mores to close out the night.
Friday;
8:15-9am- Optional guided Yoga, or self guided walk/hike/biking
9:00-10am - Farewell Farm to Table Style Breakfast on-site at the Pine Tent
Choose from dishes like; Benedicts, Omelettes, Breakfast Sandos and other breakfast specialties.
11am - Transportation back to Mountain view HQ
