Empanadas
You can find empanadas all over the Spanish speaking world, but it is in Argentina where they have blossomed and become an intrinsic part of the culture. Argentines have them at every birthday party, watching a soccer match together with friends or as an appetizer for a typical 5 hour “asado”. Chef Morduchowicz, himself an Argentine, will show your team how to make two very traditional kinds: beef, and spinach with bechamel sauce. Each empanada is distinguished by the way the edge is decorated so you can instantly tell what’s inside. Chef Morduchowicz will demonstrate these techniques and guide everyone to a successful and delicious result. You will have the option of cooking two ways: soufflé (deep fried in a totally safe and healthy manner) or baked in the oven.
The ingredient kits will contain everything needed to make 8 empanadas, including a special dough adapted from Argentine and French traditions and prepared artisanally for each event.
